The district has championed innovative educational learning initiatives supported by advanced programs and technology driven resources that foster student success. With an emphasis on enhanced learning, the district has launched its 1-to-1 technology initiative to help Pasadena students stay connected to today’s digital world in class or at home. With 63 campuses, 54,000 student enrollment and an 89% graduation rate the Pasadena Independent School District is ranked one of the top districts in our area.
Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School
Since opening in 2014, the Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School strives to empower students to successfully transition to the global community through unique educational experiences. This state of the art building sits on 32 acres with 247,111 square feet and a student population of over 1500. Students who choose to attend will participate in project-based learning opportunities that integrate rigorous core content standards with relevant career and technical skills and programs. CTHS students will be provided industry-standard training using industry-standard equipment in preparation for future career pathways.
There are six education pathways to choose from which include: agriculture, health sciences, human services, manufacturing and construction, technology and transportation. These key areas of focus are essential to preparing the students for continuation into post high school education at both the college and university level, as well as outstanding training and preparation for those students who select to enter the workforce directly upon high school graduation.
