Pasadena Loves Local Presents: “Discover Your Future” Job Fair. This job fair offers a convenient way to take a beneficial step toward the professional futures of the Pasadena community.

Workforce Matters

A strong workforce benefits residents, businesses, and the community alike. A strong workforce enhances the quality of life by:

• Sustaining public schools with taxes and recycled dollars
• Improving infrastructure

When job seekers become employees, they invest in themselves. When businesses hire eager job seekers, they invest in the business. The Pasadena Loves Local Program is a program created to help raise awareness about the importance of investing in the City of Pasadena. The union of employer and employee also adds to investing in the City of Pasadena.  

Prepare for the Fair

The “Discover Your Future” Job Fair offers an afternoon of possibilities. To help you succeed, workforce development partners joined forces with San Jacinto College and created the Job Fair Preparation Event! Held on April 10, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm, this event offers resume, cover letter, and interview preparation assistance. Attending this event and participating in its offerings increases your hiring chances at the “Discover Your Future” Job Fair. Be sure to register for the Job Fair Preparation Event and get more bang for your FREE buck!

If you aren’t able to attend the Job Fair Preparation Event, don’t fret. Resources are always available for job seekers and employers. The Pasadena Chamber has a Workforce Center website dedicated to helping year-round.

The “Discover Your Future” Job Fair is for employment in many industries!

For job seekers, this is your chance to interact and interview with multiple local companies ready to hire YOU! These Pasadena businesses are looking for diligent, determined, and driven Pasadena residents wanting to earn their pay and support their families. For the high school job seekers who offer a different type of desired employee, these same local companies want your energy, youthfulness, and eagerness to add to their staff.  

Business owners seeking new hires can sign up for a free booth. This is your chance to meet and interview locals willing to work close to home. Having local employees work for local businesses increases sales, lowers employee turnover, and strengthens business retention.

The “Discover Your Future” Job Fair is sure to accomplish many wins within one afternoon. Register now to attend on April 24, 2024.

• High Schoolers - 3:00 - 4:30 pm
• Open to all - 4:30 - 6:00 pm

From 3:00 - 4:30 pm, high schoolers can interact and interview, leaving enough time to complete homework, extra-curricular duties, and after-school activities.

For residents looking to change their career path, the 4:30 - 6:00 pm block offers enough time to make moves for your future and still get home in time to bond with your family or gain an early start on end-of-the-day rest.
