Current Projects

The Pasadena Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) is undertaking a comprehensive planning effort to establish a new vision for the Pasadena Regional Entertainment District and the approximately 200 acres available for future development surrounding the Pasadena Convention Center and related facilities.

The project represents an opportunity to reposition these existing civic and entertainment assets within a larger mixed-use destination capable of attracting residents and regional visitors, supporting private investment, increasing economic activity and tax generation, and creating a distinctive new destination for Pasadena.

The Master Plan will integrate economic and market analysis, development planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, infrastructure planning, cost analysis, and implementation strategy into a single coordinated process. Market demand and economic feasibility will inform the physical plan, while development concepts will be continuously tested against infrastructure requirements, implementation costs, investment potential, and long-term economic objectives.

As part of the master planning process, PEDC, City of Pasadena, and SWA Group will be hosting TWO Community Visioning Evening Workshops, Wednesday, November 18 in Spanish, and Thursday, November 19 in English, at the Pasadena Convention Center. All Pasadena residents, business owners, community members and the rest of the public are invited to attend and participate. You will have the opportunity to share your ideas, explore possibilities, and help us envision what's next for our city and the proposed Entertainment District, which will be the property surrounding the Pasadena Convention Center.
