Design work is expected to be completed this fall for the first section of a hike-and-bike trail along Vince Bayou that would eventually connect Pasadena's north and south sides, and if all goes well, that first leg of the path will open in a couple of years.

"We're getting to end of design in October, then we will go into permitting and then go into construction a year after that," said project senior manager Lisa Graiff with the nonprofit Houston Parks Board, which is overseeing the project. "The first quarter of 2025 is when we hope to have the first segment of the Vince Bayou Greenway Trail completed."
