Pasadena courthouse completion set for 2020

Ever since Hurricane Ike blew through the Houston area in 2008, leaving many of Pasadena’s municipal buildings damaged, the city’s courts haven’t stayed too long in one place.

The most recent move for municipal court proceedings was to a city facility at 1001 Shaw following repairs to damages caused by Hurricane Harvey.

But the days of moving for the city’s court facilities should change soon, with a ground-breaking ceremony set for a $7.3 million courthouse. Funding for the project was approved by council in January 2018, with Horizon Group International LLC serving as contractor.
