As we end September being Workforce Development Month, Pasadena’s commitment to workforce development is neverending.

Initiated in 2005, Workforce Development Month is a time to raise awareness about the importance of the industry to a growing national economy. Workforce development professionals offer useful connections within the community between businesses looking to hire and the talented job seekers available. In 2012, it was moved to September and has been annually recognized and celebrated by many across the country.

Workforce Development Month also emphasizes the importance of a skilled workforce and the need for communities to support all enhancing efforts through formal and informal education, vocational training, and other learning opportunities such as apprenticeships and volunteerism.
