We Want to Hear from You! Pasadena Community Members Share Your Thoughts Today

The Pasadena Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) is seeking input from residents and business owners on the region's future. The Economic Vision Survey is now live and open to anyone living in the area. The single-page survey asks a few questions about the types of businesses you frequent and which ones you wish were here. The survey takes less than five minutes to complete.

“Do you have a favorite store that you want close by, so you don’t have to drive across Houston or order from them online? Then take this survey,” says Arturo Marquez, Director of Economic Development at the Pasadena EDC. “We want to know what stores residents are excited about so we can focus our economic development efforts.”

This survey is designed to understand the community's needs, whether residents want more retail locations or simply more dining options. You can have a say in Pasadena’s future in just a few minutes.

Your Answers Guide Our Recruitment Efforts

Business expansion and attraction are two key areas of economic development. On the expansion side, PEDC works with local businesses to identify resources, tools, and information to help them succeed. There’s nothing we love more than watching entrepreneurs and small business owners hit major milestones, like an anniversary or a move to a bigger location.

On the attraction side, PEDC promotes Pasadena, Texas, at a national level. The goal is to attract companies to the area so they create jobs and add new amenities for residents. New businesses make Pasadena a convenient and fun place to live, with the right balance of stores, restaurants, and entertainment. 

PEDC Will Recruit Industries and Brands at ICSC Las Vegas

Pasadena EDC team members will attend the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in Las Vegas this May. More than 30,000 decision-makers will attend, making it one of the largest commercial real estate meetings in the world. During this time, PEDC promotes Pasadena and meets with potential businesses to showcase the community.

The survey results can inform PEDC's efforts. If there are significant trends in what the community wants, PEDC can meet with leaders in specific industries to discuss their expansion plans.  

This is why taking the survey is so important: the more people who take it, the clearer PEDC's picture will be of what residents want.

If you have a vision for the future of Pasadena, share the survey! Ask your friends and family to share their insights with PEDC. This increases the number of responses and guides our actions with clearer results. For example, if you wish there were more nightlife and dining options, let us know. We want to create a community that you are excited and proud to live in.

The survey will be live through the summer, but the best time to take it is now. Most questions are multiple-choice or short-answer, allowing you to complete them quickly.
